In October 2011, dentist Arthur Glosman commented to E! News on photographs of Lohan after a red-carpet appearance. He described what appeared in the images as staining and chipped teeth, while noting that he had not examined her. That distinction matters: a photo-based opinion cannot establish the condition of someone’s teeth or diagnose a dental problem. E! News reported the assessment.
A later account from NexWell says Lohan posted on WhoSay in late October 2011 to thank Los Angeles dentist Bill Dorfman for “the zoom,” referring to Zoom whitening. This is reported confirmation of professional whitening, although the original social-media post was not independently retrieved for that account. Why veneers are different from whitening
General information about veneers should not be mistaken for details about Lohan. The Associated Press reported in 2024 that veneers are custom coverings placed over teeth and that fitting them involves removing some natural enamel, making the procedure irreversible. The AP said veneers may need replacement after 5 to 15 years as they degrade. It also reported that dentists usually charge $1,000 to $2,000 per tooth, with porcelain generally costing more than lower-grade materials; those are general figures, not Lohan’s costs or treatment details. The same AP report warns of harms from unlicensed veneer providers, including severe pain, nerve damage and tooth loss. ADA spokesperson and New York dentist Dr. Ada Cooper put the concern plainly: “Quality control is lost without the involvement of a licensed dentist.” That warning is general dental-safety guidance, not evidence about Lohan’s care.
