In its October 2024 launch announcement, the restaurant called it “top-secret”; Paramount likewise said the original Krabby Patty formula remained secret. The official materials describe the burger’s other toppings, but do not identify the sauce’s ingredients or flavor.
What was Wendy’s Krabby Patty sauce made of?
The ingredients were not disclosed in the official launch materials. Wendy’s named its sauce “Krabby Kollab sauce” and described it as “top-secret,” without publishing a recipe or ingredient list. Paramount’s announcement also played on the secret formula from SpongeBob SquarePants; that does not establish that Wendy’s sauce used the fictional recipe.
That means familiar guesses—such as Thousand Island or a ketchup-and-mayonnaise blend—cannot be presented as confirmed ingredients. The official sources do not specify the sauce’s flavor, either.
What came on the Wendy’s SpongeBob burger?
Wendy’s described the Krabby Patty as a quarter-pound beef patty with two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, and Krabby Kollab sauce, served on a toasted premium bun. The company’s footnote said the beef weight was approximate before cooking and specified fresh beef availability in the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Canada.
