Why the headline said her parents were confused
The report attributed the claim that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were “confused” about Violet’s continued connection to Lopez’s family to an unnamed source described as speaking to DailyMail.com. It also relayed claims from unnamed sources about Violet’s attachment to Lopez’s family and her parents’ alleged feelings about the photo being posted online.
Those are attributed claims, not confirmed statements from the parents. The Yahoo report did not document a direct public comment from either Affleck or Garner about the selfie, nor does it establish that either objected to it.
