How the first reports described it
In a March 19 report, TMZ attributed the description “heated exchange” to sources connected to Bieber. Those sources said there was no physical contact. TMZ reported that the reason for the exchange was unclear and that Usher’s camp had not responded to its inquiry by publication.
Cosmopolitan’s March 20 coverage relayed TMZ’s account. In a March 23 follow-up, it summarized competing anonymous-source descriptions, including claims that Bieber avoided conversation and that Usher felt disrespected. Those are unverified accounts, not established explanations for the interaction. Cosmopolitan said neither artist’s representatives had confirmed or denied the reports.

What Da Brat later said Usher told her
On March 24, Us Weekly reported that radio personality Da Brat said she had spoken with Usher. She recounted his description as “an exaggeration of conversation” and said the two artists had spoken, but it was not a full-blown argument. This is Da Brat’s secondhand account of what Usher told her, not a direct public statement from Usher about the encounter. The Source’s March 26 report also quoted Da Brat describing the story as an exaggeration of a conversation.

The available reports do not establish that they had a physical fight.
