Netflix Nextworld was a Roblox hub for interactive experiences based on Netflix franchises. Netflix announced its early-access launch for May 9, 2024, describing it as a digital theme park with games, social spaces and virtual items. That announcement describes the launch-era offering, not a guarantee that the same experience is playable today.
What was Netflix Nextworld?
Netflix presented Nextworld as a central hub where players could explore 3D spaces and activities inspired by its shows and films. The company’s May 9, 2024 launch announcement summed up the idea: “Think: A digital theme park full of characters, easter eggs, and games.” The experience was hosted on Roblox, rather than being a separate Netflix streaming feature.
The announcement described a mix of playable activities and social features. Users could visit franchise-themed spaces, try minigames, collect digital objects, and decorate a private Fan Pod. A Streamship area was intended for social events, including premieres and viewing parties.
Which Netflix franchises and games were included at launch?
Netflix named several activities in its launch announcement:

When did Nextworld launch, and which devices were announced?
Netflix announced early access for May 9, 2024. Its announcement said Nextworld would be available on consoles that support Roblox, as well as mobile devices and PC/Mac. Those are the compatibility categories stated at launch; they do not establish that every device can access the experience now.
Can you still play Netflix Nextworld?
The launch announcement establishes what Netflix planned for early access in 2024, but it does not confirm present-day availability. A Roblox listing titled “Netflix Nextworld” was indexed with the text “There are currently no running experiences.” That is a limited snapshot, not definitive proof that Nextworld has either since closed or remains playable. How does Roblox’s later Netflix licensing relate to Nextworld?
On July 15, 2025, Roblox announced its License Manager and Licenses catalog, naming Netflix as one of four launch partners. Roblox said Stranger Things and Squid Game were among Netflix properties available for licensed creator use. This reflects Roblox’s broader licensed-IP ecosystem; it does not show that those properties were added to Nextworld or that Nextworld itself was still active. See Roblox’s licensing announcement for the distinction.
Was Nextworld the same as Netflix House?
No. Nextworld was a digital Roblox experience. Netflix House refers to physical venues, so the two describe different ways of engaging with Netflix franchises; the available launch information does not establish that Nextworld was a sequel to or replacement for Netflix House.
