Daisy Kent’s biggest fear was that Joey Graziadei’s family would not fully understand who she was or see why she and Joey made sense together. She shared that concern while meeting his family in the season 28 finale of The Bachelor.

What Daisy feared Joey’s family would misunderstand

In finale coverage, Daisy’s worry was about being seen and understood by Joey’s family—not simply about whether they would like her. She was concerned they might not recognize her for who she was or understand why she and Joey were a good match.

“I think my biggest fear is that they won’t be able to see me completely for who I am and that they won’t be able to understand why Joey and I are so good together.”

The quotation was published by Us Weekly. The available coverage attributes the words to Daisy; an official episode transcript was not available to independently verify the dialogue.

What Daisy discussed with Joey’s family

The finale report says Daisy met Joey’s family first and spoke with his sisters about her hearing loss and cochlear implant. She also told them she would accept a proposal from Joey. Those details put her fear in context: she was sharing personal parts of her life while hoping his family would understand her relationship with him.

How Daisy’s fear differed from Joey’s

Joey had a separate concern about hometown dates: that meeting a contestant’s family could make a relationship take a step backward. Life & Style reported that he said, “I was so afraid for hometowns being a step back,” during a February 29, 2024 appearance on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. Joey was describing a possible setback across the hometown dates; Daisy was focused on whether his family would understand her and her connection with him.

What happened after the family meeting

Joey ultimately proposed to Kelsey Anderson, not Daisy. Her meeting with his family was part of the season finale, but it did not lead to the engagement. Us Weekly’s finale coverage reports that outcome.
