What was Brandi Glanville’s secret about Adrienne?
Contemporaneous coverage identified the secret as Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif having twins through a surrogate. In a January 2013 interview with Life & Style, Maloof said, “Brandi took away something so precious from our family.” Glanville, in the same report, said, “We all knew it already. She would always lie about it. It’s not that big of a deal.” Those are the two women’s descriptions of the dispute, not independent proof of their private circumstances or motives.

Life & Style also reported that Maloof had planned to tell her children when they were older. Its explanation that she chose surrogacy after pregnancy complications with her eldest son was attributed to an anonymous insider; it should not be treated as a confirmed statement from Maloof or a medical source.
How did the secret become part of Season 3?
The revelation was part of a conflict that played out during the season. Life & Style reported that the revelation was edited out of the episode as it aired on December 10, 2012. Bravo’s official Season 3, Episode 7 guide, for “Oy, Faye!”, dated December 17, 2012, describes the fallout at Kyle Richards’ dinner party, where the confrontation continued and Glanville left in tears.

The distinction matters: the episode guide documents the fallout on screen, while the contemporaneous interview identifies what the secret concerned. Neither source establishes every private detail behind the dispute.
What happened at the reunion and when did Adrienne leave?
Maloof did not attend the Season 3 reunion. Bravo’s March 19, 2013 report said she had missed the reunion and would not return the following season. The report quoted host Andy Cohen saying, “Adrienne’s final act as a Housewife is not showing up tonight.” Bravo’s reunion listing dates Part 1 to March 25, 2013, and says Maloof’s decision not to attend sparked controversy and an announcement.

The timing makes the secret and the reunion absence part of the same season’s story. But Bravo’s reporting does not establish that the surrogacy disclosure was the sole reason Maloof left. It is more accurate to say the conflict formed part of the context around her departure than to present it as a proven cause.

No. Maloof’s exit was announced in 2013; Glanville’s later full-time departure was a separate event. Bravo reported on June 24, 2015 that Glanville would not return as a full-time cast member. The report reproduced Glanville’s statement: “After a lot of careful thought and deliberation I have decided not to return to RHOBH as a full time cast member this season.”
