At Salma Hayek’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in November 2021, her daughter Valentina Paloma answered a reporter in Spanish: “Me gusta que todo el mundo la va a ver aquí” — “I like that everyone will see her here.” People en Español described her Spanish as “perfect,” but that was the outlet’s characterization, not a formal assessment of her fluency.
What Valentina said about her mother’s star
Univision reported that a reporter asked Valentina what it meant to see her mother’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Univision quoted her answer as: “Me gusta que todo el mundo la va a ver aquí.” A close English translation is, “I like that everyone will see her here.” Univision’s report
The available report attributes that brief sentence to Valentina; it does not provide a longer interview transcript. The footage was described by El Gordo y la Flaca as an interview with Valentina and her grandfather, Sami Hayek, at the ceremony. El Gordo y la Flaca
What was reported about the interview
People en Español reported on November 25, 2021, that Valentina was 14 at the time and had spoken with Univision’s El Gordo y la Flaca at the ceremony. The outlet said she expressed pride in her mother’s accomplishments and spoke Spanish. That age refers to 2021, not her age today. People en Español, November 25, 2021

In an account published the previous day, People en Español called the exchange Valentina’s first public interview and reported that French, Spanish and English are spoken in the family home. These are the publication’s descriptions and reporting; neither establishes a measured level of language proficiency. People en Español, November 24, 2021
Why the “perfect Spanish” description needs context
People en Español used “perfect Spanish” in its headline. The observable point supported by the reported exchange is that Valentina answered in Spanish. One short response can show that she spoke the language in this interview, but it is not enough to independently assess her overall fluency.
