Travis Kelce arrived at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on February 9, 2025, wearing a custom rust- to burnt-orange Amiri suit with a matching sequin shirt. The double-breasted, 1970s-inspired look was designed by Mike Amiri and was distinct from Kelce’s black Amiri outfit at the 2024 Super Bowl.
What was Travis Kelce wearing?
Kelce’s arrival outfit paired a bold, burnt-orange double-breasted suit with a matching sparkling shirt. GQ described the styling as a “’70s Hollywood lounge lizard” look. Just Jared also noted tinted aviator sunglasses and a gold rose-shaped brooch. GQ and Just Jared reported those details on February 9, 2025.
Coverage did not use one consistent color name: GQ called it burnt orange, Just Jared described it as rust, and Sporting News used burgundy/red. “Rust” or “burnt orange” captures the look as described by GQ and Just Jared, while the variation is worth bearing in mind when identifying the shade. Sporting News identified the outfit as Amiri Fall/Winter 2025.
Who designed the suit, and where did it come from?
The designer was Mike Amiri, whose label, Amiri, had shown the collection at Paris Fashion Week the previous month, according to GQ. Kelce selected the look during a fitting in New Orleans on Saturday morning before the game. GQ reported that the suit had first appeared on the runway as a women’s outfit; Amiri said he thought it would work on Kelce. That runway context describes the garment’s original presentation, not a restriction on who can wear it.

Amiri praised Kelce’s ease with clothing, telling GQ: “He’s just such a great person to dress because he can wear clothes, clothes don’t wear him. He can make anything kind of work.”
What was the outfit meant to evoke?
In a message reported by GQ, Kelce’s camp described the look as “an homage to New Orleans jazz, with the requisite reddish shade of the Chiefs.” That explanation came from his camp; GQ reported that Kelce was unavailable for comment.

The jazz reference, warm color and retro silhouette gave the outfit a connection to both the host city and Kelce’s team. Some social media reactions, as reported by Just Jared, compared the look to Starsky & Hutch, Scarface and the Bee Gees; those were audience comparisons, not stated design inspirations.
Was this the same suit Kelce wore to the previous Super Bowl?
No. Kelce’s rust-colored Amiri look was his arrival outfit for Super Bowl LIX on February 9, 2025. It was not the black Amiri outfit he wore to the 2024 Super Bowl.

Can you buy the exact outfit?
The coverage identifies Kelce’s look as custom, but the cited reports do not establish that the exact suit is available for retail. For a similar look, search for a rust-colored 1970s-style double-breasted suit and consider the styling separately: a plain shirt makes the suit less ornate, while a sequin or sparkling shirt comes closer to Kelce’s head-to-toe effect. These are ways to approximate the look, not verified product matches.
