On the January 15, 2025 episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, Travis Kelce said he and Taylor Swift were happy and that feeling supported by her off the field gave him confidence and comfort. He described that support as helping him focus on football—not as proof that their relationship caused a change in his performance.
What Kelce said about Swift’s support
In the interview, Kelce described feeling at ease away from football and connected that feeling to his focus on his job with the Kansas City Chiefs. E! News quoted him saying: “I think I’m as focused as I’ve ever been on my job and being the best player that I can possibly be, week in and week out for this team,” he continued, “and it’s because I don’t have to worry about things off the field.” (E! He also said, “I’m enjoying all aspects of life, me and Taylor are happy.” (E! News, January 16, 2025)
How he described their mutual support
Kelce said Swift encouraged him to enjoy playing football and liked attending Chiefs games. He described wanting to return that support by attending her concerts. ELLE quoted him saying: “She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game.” (ELLE, January 16, 2025)
