TechRadar reported on February 18, 2025, that My Fault: London had displaced You’re Cordially Invited as Prime Video’s most-watched movie in the US at that time. That was a dated ranking, not a current chart position.
Three films, three different kinds of romance
TechRadar’s February 18, 2025 article recommended these films as romance-and-drama follow-ups and reported that they were available on Prime Video in its publication-time context. Streaming rights vary by country and change over time, so check your local Prime Video listing before planning a watch.

The later figures are the displayed Tomatometer scores on Rotten Tomatoes’ Best Romance Movies on Prime Video browse page, accessed October 8, 2026. They are critics’ scores, not audience scores, and may change; the difference for The Idea of You is why its earlier 81% figure should not be treated as its current score.
Which one should you watch next?
The Big Sick: a relationship tested by illness and cultural differences
This romantic comedy-drama was written by married couple Emily V. Gordon and Kumail Nanjiani and draws on their real-life relationship. Nanjiani plays a version of himself, while Zoe Kazan plays Emily. Their relationship faces cultural differences and a sudden crisis when Emily becomes seriously ill and enters an induced coma. Choose it for a mix of comedy and emotional stakes rooted in the couple’s story.
#1 Best Overall
- COLLECTION CONTENTS: Features three romantic films based on Nicholas Sparks novels - Safe Haven, The Best of Me, and The Longest Ride on Blu-ray format
- MOVIE FORMATS: High-definition Blu-ray presentation of all three films, providing superior picture and sound quality
- ROMANCE TRILOGY: Experience three compelling love stories from acclaimed author Nicholas Sparks' bestselling novels brought to life on screen
- STAR-STUDDED CAST: Features performances from Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough, James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan, Scott Eastwood, and Britt Robertson
- ENTERTAINMENT VALUE: Three full-length feature films in one collection, perfect for romantic movie marathons and Nicholas Sparks fans
Past Lives: a reflective reunion
Greta Lee plays Nora and Teo Yoo plays Hae Sung, childhood sweethearts who reunite decades later for a week. Their encounter brings love, regret, and the consequences of life choices into focus. This is the most restrained of the three premises: its tension comes from time and what might have been, rather than a medical emergency or public scrutiny.
The Idea of You: romance under public scrutiny
Based on Robinne Lee’s novel of the same name, the film stars Anne Hathaway as Solène Marchand, a 40-year-old art gallery owner, and Nicholas Galitzine as Hayes Campbell, a 24-year-old boy-band star. Their age-gap relationship becomes more complicated under public attention. Pick it if you want a romance where the couple’s private connection collides with visibility and scrutiny.

How to read the Rotten Tomatoes figures
A percentage in the comparison refers to the critics’ Tomatometer, not the audience score displayed alongside it on Rotten Tomatoes. Ratings are snapshots rather than fixed qualities of a film: TechRadar’s February 2025 figures and Rotten Tomatoes’ October 2026 listing agree for The Big Sick and Past Lives, while The Idea of You is listed one point lower in the later snapshot.
