Streaming on Paramount+
Paramount+ carried the event as the streaming option. The CBS announcement for the preshow said that Paramount+ Essential subscribers would not have a live stream of the 2025 event and would get on-demand access the day after the broadcast. That statement applied to this one ceremony; it was not a general description of what the Essential tier includes.
Host and key facts
Comedian Nate Bargatze hosted the 77th ceremony. The Television Academy announced his hosting role on April 16, 2025, when chair Cris Abrego said: “We are thrilled to be able to leverage his one-of-a-kind perspective to entertain TV fans watching this year’s Emmy telecast.”

The Associated Press reported on October 6, 2026 that the Emmy Awards will move to Prime Video beginning in 2027 under a six-year deal between Amazon and the Television Academy. That report concerns future distribution only. It does not change where the 2025 ceremony aired, and the 2027 arrangement was not in effect in 2025.
