That decision was separate from the 2023 case in which a judge later ruled she had completed probation.
What Taylor Frankie Paul said on Good Morning America
In an interview with Lara Spencer that aired March 18, 2026, Paul said, “I’m a person that will always speak my truth — that’s what I’m known for.” She added: “So, when the time is right, I will be. But right now, just trying to be in the present moment and focus on this, but the thing is, my kids do come first.”
Later in the interview, Paul described the situation as heavy. When a person’s life is broadcast in headlines, she said, “it’s like the end of the world. That’s what it feels like.” Global News reported that she did not elaborate on the alleged incident. What police reported about the investigation
A Draper City Police Department spokesperson confirmed an open domestic-assault investigation involving Paul and former partner Dakota Mortensen. According to Global News, allegations had been made in both directions, and police had contact with involved parties on February 24 and 25, 2026. Police declined to provide details while the investigation was active.

Those reports describe the status of an investigation, not a finding about what happened. The cited reporting does not establish the truth of either person’s allegations.
Did prosecutors charge Taylor Frankie Paul?
On April 15, 2026, the Associated Press reported that the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office declined to file new charges against Paul arising from investigations into allegations from 2024 and February 2026. AP reported that the office cited insufficient evidence for some incidents and time-limit issues for some older misdemeanor allegations. How the probation ruling relates—and does not relate
Paul’s probation came from a separate matter: her 2023 arrest and plea deal. The Independent reported that on August 7, 2026, a judge ruled she had completed probation under that deal. This ruling concerned the older case; it was not the decision about whether to bring new charges over the 2024 and February 2026 allegations. The Independent reported on the probation ruling.
