Sharon Osbourne’s first widely reported public post after Ozzy Osbourne’s death thanked people for their messages and tributes, which she said had comforted her. Reported on 13 September 2025, the post also described her as “still finding my footing” and shared video from a falconry outing with her daughter Kelly.
When Sharon Osbourne spoke publicly
Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath’s frontman, died on 22 July 2025, aged 76. Sharon’s social-media post was reported on 13 September, nearly two months later. ITV News Central described it as a message of thanks accompanying video of Sharon trying falconry with Kelly. ITV News Central reported the post on 13 September 2025.
What Sharon said in the post
Sharon wrote: “Though I’m still finding my footing, I wanted to share some glorious creatures I had the chance to spend an afternoon with.” ITV News Central reproduced that sentence from her post.
She also thanked people for their online support, saying their comments, posts and tributes had brought her comfort and carried her through many nights. Describing the birds, she wrote about a bond built on trust and confidence and called the experience magical.

Why the video featured falconry
The post paired Sharon’s thanks with footage of her falconry outing with Kelly. Her description of the birds and the experience gave context to the video, while her words about finding her footing conveyed that she was still adjusting after Ozzy’s death. That phrase is Sharon’s own description; it should not be read as a clinical statement or as a detailed interview about her grief.
What this statement does—and does not—cover
This was a social-media message of gratitude, not a detailed account of Ozzy’s final moments or a definitive interview about Sharon’s grief. Its central point was that supporters’ messages and tributes had helped comfort her. The post’s timing and falconry video are part of its context, rather than evidence of a broader statement about her private life.
