Seattle’s Tomb Raider Experience: Escape from the Temple of Fire was a live-action, six-room puzzle adventure with actors—not a VR game. It opened to the public on November 16, 2024, but the official site now says the attraction is closed and offers no current booking information.
What was the Tomb Raider Experience in Seattle?
Created with Hourglass Attractions, the experience brought visitors into a Tomb Raider story alongside Lara Croft. The scenario placed the group in an ancient temple beneath a Chilean volcano, where they followed clues and solved puzzles while facing threats from Natla Technologies and a fiery creature. Crystal Dynamics described six themed rooms and live actors.
It was a guided, physical adventure through themed rooms, rather than a screen-based game or virtual-reality attraction. The official listing described sessions as approximately 90 minutes for one to ten players. Those are operator-published details, not independent measures of the experience.
How did a visit work?
Participants moved through the rooms as a group, interacting with the setting and solving puzzles as the story unfolded. The operator’s FAQ said the indoor, air-conditioned experience typically took about 90 minutes and involved climbing and crawling. It recommended comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes.

The opening announcement said time slots were available every 20–40 minutes and that a session could include up to 10 players. That per-session limit is different from the separate group-event claim of capacity for up to 30 people per hour.
Is it still open?
No. The official Seattle site displays a closure notice, saying “Sorry you missed us,” and directs visitors to contact Fever for more information. The attraction opened to the public on November 16, 2024, according to the official opening announcement. Its official site no longer presents it as a bookable visit.

What were the former venue and visitor rules?
The attraction was formerly located at 1122 Post Avenue, Seattle, WA 98101, near Pike Place Market and the waterfront. The operator’s FAQ listed the following historical visitor details; they are not current booking or access terms now that the venue is closed.
- The venue was described as wheelchair accessible. Service animals were welcome; pets were not.
- Guests had to be older than 10. Anyone under 16 needed to attend with an adult aged 18 or older.
- Visitors were asked to arrive 15 minutes before their ticket time; late entry was not permitted.
- Tickets could be changed up to 24 hours in advance, and the FAQ said tickets were nonrefundable.
- Backpacks and luggage were discouraged, and lockers were available.
These details come from the former operator FAQ and should not be treated as assurances about a reopened venue or another attraction. The historical FAQ is available at Tomb Raider Experience Seattle’s FAQ.

How did it compare with the game?
The attraction translated Tomb Raider’s exploration and puzzle-solving into a scheduled, group-based experience in physical rooms, with live actors and a guided story. A video game is played on a screen; this was an in-person adventure with a stated duration of about 90 minutes and a limit of up to 10 players per session. The official materials do not establish a difficulty rating, a value comparison, or visitor-satisfaction results, so those comparisons cannot be made reliably.
