Did Robert Patrick predict a robot-apocalypse date?
No. The PerthNow headline suggests a date, but the article quotes no specific future date. Patrick instead quipped that it may already be too late: “I’m already concerned that it’s too late, it already happened, it has control of us,” followed by, “We’re doomed, the end of the world will be near.” PerthNow characterized the comments as “only half-joking.” They should be read as a joking remark, not as a calendar prediction or a substantiated claim about AI control.

Who is Robert Patrick, and why was he talking about it?
Patrick played the T-1000 in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The 2024 interview ran ahead of his scheduled appearance at Supanova Perth. Patrick also told PerthNow that T2 was “the biggest thing that’s ever happened in my life, outside getting married and having children.” The interview is the source for both remarks.
When was his Supanova Perth appearance?
It was scheduled for Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 June 2024, and has passed. Supanova’s official guest page listed a Saturday panel from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., along with photo sessions, and said Patrick would pose for photos and sign autographs.
