The caller’s full identity has not been confirmed in the available reporting, and the clips should not be treated as a complete, independently authenticated recording.
What the phone call reportedly captured
MMA Fighting reported on August 24, 2025, that a video posted after the incident showed Jackson on a call with someone associated with the match. According to the outlet’s description, the other person told Jackson he had gone overboard and that they “can’t wake” Smith up. SportBible also described a post-incident call. Neither account establishes the other speaker’s full identity or supplies a complete authoritative transcript.
So the most careful answer to “What did Raja Jackson say on the phone?” is that the available reports describe footage of Jackson on a call, but do not establish a full exchange or allow every word to be verified. The reported warning about Smith is attributed to the other speaker, not a confirmed statement by Jackson.
Who was on the phone with Raja Jackson?
The caller has not been definitively identified in the coverage reviewed. MMA Fighting described the person as associated with the match; that is not enough to name them or determine their precise role. Claims assigning the call to a specific wrestler, organizer, or other person go beyond what these reports establish.

What happened to Syko Stu
On August 23, 2025, at a KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy event in Sun Valley, Los Angeles, Smith was wrestling as Syko Stu when Jackson entered the ring, slammed him to the mat, and punched him repeatedly. Video reports and witness accounts described Smith becoming unconscious and other wrestlers intervening. The event was streamed on Kick.
The distinction between the wrestling context and the violence matters. KnokX said a planned, agreed-upon wrestling spot turned into an act of violence. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson said he believed the incident was part of the show and called it “a work that went wrong,” while also saying he did not condone his son’s actions. These are attributed accounts; they do not, by themselves, establish what Raja Jackson understood or intended. The assault should not be presented as a staged storyline.

What happened in the Raja Jackson case
In a July 2, 2026 report, the Los Angeles Times said Jackson agreed to plead no contest to battery in May and was taken into custody to serve a 90-day jail sentence. The reported deal also requires two years of formal probation and $81,000 in restitution to Smith.
The Times reported that Smith told the court he had suffered a severe traumatic brain injury, a shattered maxilla, and a bone graft procedure. Smith also described continuing memory loss and reduced cognitive function, and said he had been unable to work for nearly a year. These are details from Smith’s court statement as reported by the newspaper, not an independent medical assessment in that account.

That legal outcome is the latest disposition reported here; it replaces earlier arrest- or charge-stage accounts as the relevant case update.
