The available reporting does not establish what Rachel Lindsay regrets about addressing racist messages sent to The Bachelor contestants. It does confirm that she addressed the harassment during a 2020 Women Tell All segment. Without the exact interview or a transcript, attributing a particular regret to her would go beyond what is verified.
What Rachel Lindsay said on Women Tell All
In March 2020, Lindsay hosted a segment on the Bachelor special Women Tell All about online bullying of contestants. The Washington Post’s contemporaneous report said she read racist and profane messages sent to cast members and described them as “graphic,” “explicit” and “shocking.” TIME’s March 2020 coverage also reported that she discussed harassment she had experienced on the show and read racist and threatening messages sent to current contestants.

What the reports do not verify
Those accounts establish that Lindsay addressed racist messages on air; they do not say that she later regretted doing so, or explain what she might regret. They do not resolve whether the alleged regret concerns her own experience, reading contestants’ messages during the segment, or the way the franchise handled harassment. The specific claim in the title therefore cannot be answered from these reports alone.
Related comments are not evidence of this regret
In 2021, the Los Angeles Times summarized Lindsay’s New York Magazine essay, which criticized a racist, misogynistic, xenophobic and homophobic faction of the franchise’s fandom. That later criticism provides context about her public discussion of the franchise, but it does not establish what she said in the unidentified exclusive or what she regrets.

A separate 2021 dispute should not be mistaken for an answer, either. TheWrap reported that Lindsay objected to a New York Magazine print cover line, “Oops, I Blew Up the Bachelor,” and that the magazine apologized. The report concerns that cover line, not regret about addressing racist messages.

The exact exclusive or a direct transcript is needed to establish Lindsay’s words, their context and timing, and what action or experience she was referring to. Until that source is available, the defensible account is limited: she addressed racist messages on the 2020 special, while the particular regret implied by the title remains unverified.
