Spoilers for the preview follow. Netflix’s Season 2 sneak peek reveals that detective Hwang Jun-ho survived his fall, then jumps two years ahead in his story. It also shows Seong Gi-hun trying to stop the deadly competition—and sets up a face-to-face meeting with the Front Man.
What does the sneak peek show?
The preview answers the question left hanging at the end of Season 1: Jun-ho made it out alive after falling from the cliff. Creator and director Hwang Dong-hyuk says viewers will learn how he survived. Netflix’s preview describes a two-year jump in Jun-ho’s storyline, but survival has not made his search straightforward. He has uncovered the games’ secrets and his brother’s involvement, yet he lacks evidence and cannot count on support from his captain.
Elsewhere, Gi-hun is pursuing a different goal: ending the competition. The preview shows his grim new living quarters and a tense encounter when the Front Man appears at his door. Netflix frames their confrontation as central to the season.
How does the preview fit into Season 2?
Netflix’s official synopsis places Gi-hun’s return three years after his win. He gives up going to the United States and re-enters the survival game with a new resolve, alongside new participants competing for a prize of 45.6 billion won. His search for who runs the game, and why, is at the heart of the season.

The Tudum preview page displays a Nov. 26, 2025 publication date, but its text treats the season as forthcoming and refers to the Dec. 26 premiere. That displayed date alone does not establish when the clip was first released, so it is more accurate to describe it as an existing official preview than as a newly released 2025 or 2026 clip.
