Some TV games use a phone as the controller. Netflix presents games as an extension of its entertainment membership, but its announcements do not establish a current total for the catalog, player numbers or commercial performance.
How Netflix’s gaming offer has developed
Netflix has described games as part of a broader entertainment membership, rather than as a separate console platform. Its announcements point to several strands: mobile games, titles connected to Netflix shows and fictional worlds, games played on a TV, and a newer kids-and-families offering.
The most useful historical marker is a December 13, 2023 update from Netflix VP of Games Mike Verdu. He said the company had launched 40 games that year, expected 86 to be available by the end of 2023 and had nearly 90 more in development. He also described an early test of TV and computer games in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. Mobile games tied to Netflix stories
Some of Netflix’s mobile games connect directly to its shows or fictional worlds. The examples below show the range of that approach; they do not establish the complete current catalog.

Squid Game: Unleashed
In a January 2, 2025 update, Netflix linked new content for Squid Game: Unleashed to the show’s second season. Netflix reported that the game had reached number one in the “Top Free Action Game” chart in 57 countries and the “Top Free Game” chart in 24 countries. Thronglets
Netflix announced Thronglets on April 10, 2025, describing it as a mobile game from Night School set in the Black Mirror universe and available exclusively to Netflix members. The game is the fictional title at the center of the season-seven episode “Plaything.” Netflix’s Thronglets announcement

Games announced in the 2025 slate
A January 2025 slate announcement named games based on Ginny & Georgia, Sweet Magnolias, Love is Blind and Single’s Inferno. It also announced plans for exclusive WWE 2K mobile games for members. Playing Netflix games on a TV
Netflix has also announced games designed for shared living-room play. In its October 9, 2025 party-game lineup, the company named LEGO Party!, Pictionary: Game Night, Boggle Party, Tetris Time Warp and Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends. Netflix said players could choose a game from the TV Games tab and use a phone as the controller. The announcement described availability on select TVs in certain countries, with further rollout planned; it did not provide a complete device-and-country compatibility list. FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition
On June 4, 2026, Netflix announced FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition, with availability starting June 11. The described setup uses a TV to run the game and a scanned phone as the controller. Netflix said it was included with membership and supported up to four players. The company’s product description listed 48 teams, 16 real-world stadiums and 1,248 players; these are game-description figures, not independent performance statistics. Netflix said TV games were available in 20 countries on June 4, 2026: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and Brazil. This is a dated snapshot, not confirmation of the rollout in October 2026. Availability can differ by country, TV and individual title, so check Netflix’s current support or catalog information for a specific game.

Netflix Playground: a space for kids and families
Netflix introduced Netflix Playground at its June 10, 2026 APAC Product Innovation Showcase as a dedicated space for kids’ games and experiences within Netflix Games. The announcement said the KPop Demon Hunters collection would join on June 20 with six minigames. Netflix described Playground as included with memberships, free of ads and without in-game transactions, and said its global rollout was beginning as its catalog grew. What Netflix’s announcements do—and do not—show
Netflix’s public descriptions demonstrate an expanding mix of formats and audiences, but they are not a full account of the business. Its January 7, 2026 entertainment slate said games were among the year’s offerings while explicitly noting that the list was not comprehensive and that some title announcements would come later.
