Former Suits colleagues who have spoken publicly have generally described Meghan Markle in warm terms. Actor Patrick J. Adams called her kind, supportive and hardworking; Wendell Pierce recalled her as sweet and kind; and writer Jon Cowan said he saw a warm, caring person while working with her. These are personal recollections, not a representative account of everyone who worked with her—and they do not settle separate workplace allegations.
What Patrick J. Adams said about working with her
Adams, who worked with Markle on Suits for years, has offered both a broad public defense and smaller, more personal recollections. In a March 2021 statement, amid coverage of bullying allegations made by royal aides, he described his own experience of her on the show:

“From day one she was an enthusiastic, kind, cooperative, giving, joyful and supportive member of our television family.”
He also praised her work ethic and willingness to speak up, calling her “a powerful woman with a deep sense of morality and a fierce work ethic.” Vanity Fair reported Adams’s statement on March 5, 2021. Because he framed his remarks as a defense of a friend, they are best read as his personal account rather than an independent finding about the allegations.

In 2026, Adams shared a lighter memory of their on-set rapport, recalling that Markle often rolled her eyes at him. He joked: “That was a constant with Meghan, just a lot of rolling her eyes at me, like, ‘Oh, my God, what are you doing?’” Us Weekly reported the recollection on March 31, 2026, alongside his account of receiving handwritten notes or gifts from her. It offers a small glimpse of their familiarity, not a general verdict on her character.
What Wendell Pierce remembered
Pierce played Robert Zane, the father of Markle’s character on Suits. In a 2019 report about an interview on Desert Island Discs, he described her as “a really good actress” who “was always sweet, always kind.” He also recalled warning her about a paparazzo after she wore a costume engagement ring on set. The Guardian reported Pierce’s account on October 27, 2019. These are his recollections of a co-star, not a broad assessment from the production.
What writer Jon Cowan and director Silver Tree recalled
Suits writer Jon Cowan said he worked with Markle for three years before she became a duchess. In comments reported in 2021, he wrote: “Having spent 3 years working with her in her pre-Duchess days, I saw a warm, kind, caring person. I know nothing of her current situation but she gets the benefit of the doubt in my book.” His qualification matters: he described what he had seen while working with her and explicitly said he did not know about her later circumstances.
Director Silver Tree recalled Markle helping her family during a difficult diagnosis. That is a specific account of a supportive act, not evidence by itself about her day-to-day workplace conduct. The Independent reported Cowan’s and Tree’s comments, alongside Adams’s, on March 7, 2021, in the context of colleagues speaking in Markle’s defense.

How much these accounts can tell you
The public comments from these former colleagues are favorable, but they are not a survey of the Suits cast or crew. The speakers describe different experiences and relationships: Adams was a close co-star who publicly defended a friend; Pierce recalled a co-star he played opposite; Cowan limited his statement to the years they worked together; and Tree described a particular act involving Markle’s family.
Those distinctions keep the answer grounded. Their remarks show what these named people have said about their own experiences. They neither establish that all former coworkers share the same view nor independently prove or disprove reported workplace allegations.
