Not nice,” she says. That is Stewart’s account, not an independently established finding.
What Martha Stewart says happened at Turkey Hill
Stewart says the employee needed somewhere to stay and that she offered her accommodation on the property. She recalls that the relationship began while she was traveling. After confronting the woman, Stewart says, she removed her from the property. Her line about putting the woman up was: “It was like I put out a snack for Andy.” Vanity Fair’s account of the documentary reports these remarks; Realtor.com’s coverage identifies the setting as Turkey Hill in Westport.
Who was the employee?
Coverage is not consistent about whether the woman is named in the documentary. Vanity Fair identifies her as Robyn Fairclough, while Realtor.com says the documentary does not reveal her identity. The name should therefore be attributed to Vanity Fair’s reporting rather than presented as an unambiguous identification by the film.
How the documentary presents the competing accounts
Martha and Andy Stewart were married from 1961 to 1990, according to coverage of the film. Stewart recounts a brief affair of her own and a kiss with a stranger during their honeymoon. Director R.J. Cutler tells her that Andy said he did not stray until after she had confessed her affair. Stewart responds, “Oh, well, that’s not true, I don’t think.”

The documentary thus includes differing recollections about when Andy began straying, alongside Stewart’s account of his relationships and her own conduct. These are statements and recollections presented in the film, not a settled chronology. TV Insider’s summary also describes the film’s competing accounts.

The cited coverage establishes that Stewart made the allegation in Martha and that the property in her account is Turkey Hill in Westport, Connecticut. It does not independently adjudicate whether the alleged affair occurred. The claim should remain attributed to Stewart rather than treated as a verified finding about Andy Stewart.
