Why Kristen Taekman left RHONY
Taekman joined The Real Housewives of New York City for seasons 6 and 7. When she announced her departure in 2015, she said she planned to concentrate on family and business. In a statement later quoted by Bravo, she named Pop of Color nail polish and Last Night’s Look, her fashion blog, as the ventures she wanted to pursue.
That explanation reflects her priorities at the time; it does not mean either project remains active now.

Bravo’s official biography says Taekman began modeling at 14 and worked in New York, Paris, Italy and Australia. It also notes appearances in Australian editions of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Glamour. The biography says she founded greeting-card company 2nd Street Press in 2009. These are parts of her earlier career, not confirmation of current work.

Pop of Color
Pop of Color was a nail-polish collaboration with New York retailer Ricky’s NYC. Bravo’s 2023 retrospective reported that Ricky’s had closed in 2020 and said the beauty business appeared no longer to be operating. That report is not proof that every product or business record disappeared, but it does not support describing Pop of Color as a current venture.
Last Night’s Look
Last Night’s Look was Taekman’s fashion blog. Bravo reported in 2023 that it had been quiet since October 2022. A separate profile that year described her sharing fashion trends and beauty advice, but the reviewed reporting does not establish that the blog is publishing now.

Her family moved from New York to California
Bravo reported in December 2023 that Taekman and her family relocated from New York to the Los Angeles area in 2020. A later profile placed them in Calabasas, while Taekman described leaving Manhattan for the suburbs in connection with her RHUGT return. These are dated accounts rather than confirmation of where she lives today.
In a December 2023 Bravo feature, Taekman described her post-New York routine this way: “I’ve just pretty much been a mom,” adding, “I call it ‘Momming really hard.’” In another interview that month, she said of her marriage, “We are stronger than ever.” Those remarks convey her perspective at the time, not an independent update on her family life today.

She returned to Bravo on RHONY Legacy
Taekman reunited with former RHONY castmates for The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy, which followed the group on a trip to St. Barts. Bravo named Peacock as the series’ streaming destination; catalogs can vary by date and region, so check Peacock’s current listing for availability.
Her return put her back on screen after her original two-season run, but it is not evidence that she rejoined the regular RHONY cast or that she has left television for good.

What is—and is not—known about her work now
The latest subject-specific reporting in the sources available here is from 2023. It documents her family-focused comments, earlier business ventures and RHUGT appearance, but does not verify her precise professional activity in 2026. The most accurate answer to what she has been doing since leaving RHONY is therefore a dated one: she pursued creative ventures, relocated with her family, described motherhood as a focus, and later returned to Bravo for a legacy-series trip.
