What did Kim Kardashian wear to the Ambani wedding?
Her look paired a fitted, shimmering red skirt with a cropped, tasseled top. India Today described the skirt as a mermaid skirt and the top as a tasselled blouse with strappy sleeves. Teen Vogue called the skirt a lehenga and described the top as a cropped bustier adorned with tassels. Teen Vogue also reported that Kardashian styled the lehenga with a saree; the accounts do not establish the exact construction of that drape.
Was it a lehenga or a mermaid skirt?
Both terms appear in coverage of the outfit. A lehenga is a skirt worn as part of Indian formalwear; “mermaid skirt” describes a fitted silhouette that flares lower down. India Today used the latter description, while Teen Vogue called it a lehenga. The terms describe different aspects of the garment, not necessarily competing accounts.
What accessories completed the look?
India Today reported that Kardashian wore layered diamond neckpieces and a maang-tika, a forehead ornament. Teen Vogue also noted a diamond hair ornament and bracelet. Together, the reports describe a heavily accessorized look, though they do not provide a full item-by-item jewelry attribution.

Who designed the red tasseled outfit?
The reports reviewed do not identify a designer for this specific red skirt-and-tassel-top look. A separate outfit can cause confusion: Vogue India credits a custom scarlet sari Kardashian wore on day one to Manish Malhotra, with jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz. That credit is for the sari, not the tasseled look.
Was Disney’s Jasmine the inspiration?
Teen Vogue reported that an image of Jasmine from Disney’s Aladdin appeared among Kardashian’s Instagram Stories and seemed to inspire the outfit. That is the publication’s interpretation of the image; it is not a direct statement from Kardashian about the look.
