Us Weekly reported on October 24, 2024, that Vassos addressed the reports on the October 23 episode of The Viall Files. She said she had not seen “that side” of Gansert or of any of the men she encountered on the show. Her remarks were about what she personally observed, not a confirmation or denial of the claims associated with the court filing.

What the reports say about the 2021 request
According to Us Weekly, Gansert’s former wife applied for a temporary protective order in October 2021. Us Weekly reported that she voluntarily dismissed the application about a month later and that a temporary order was never granted. E! News and a USA Today report syndicated by Yahoo described the request as withdrawn roughly three weeks after it was filed; they reported that the judge denied the temporary-order petition after the withdrawal.
These accounts distinguish a request for an order from an order actually being granted. The reports say a temporary order was not granted. The available accounts differ slightly in how they describe the time between filing and withdrawal, so the precise interval should be attributed to the outlet reporting it.

What Guy Gansert said
In an October 10, 2024 Instagram statement quoted by Us Weekly and E!, Gansert described the episode as “an unfortunate situation” during an “incredibly stressful time” for him and his former spouse. He said it was resolved when she voluntarily dismissed her request. That is Gansert’s account of the situation, not a court finding.
