Jack Dorsey reportedly bought a neighboring Sea Cliff home in late 2018 for about $21.9 million. The available 2019 reporting describes its size, layout and renovation permits—but it does not provide a verified tour of the house’s interior today.
What is known about the house Dorsey bought?
Architectural Digest reported that the off-market sale closed in late 2018 for $21.9 million; The Real Deal described the price as $21 million. The difference is consistent with one outlet giving a rounded figure. These are reported purchase prices, not independently authenticated records.
The home is in San Francisco’s Sea Cliff neighborhood, next door to a residence Dorsey had reportedly purchased in 2012. Architectural Digest’s 2019 account described the newly acquired property as:
- 3,588 square feet across two stories
- Five bedrooms and three bathrooms
- A detached two-car garage
- Built in 1962
Architectural Digest said the house had likely been updated over the years, but that was the outlet’s inference rather than a confirmed history of renovations. The Real Deal reported that the two neighboring properties together covered about 1.2 acres; that figure is for the pair, not the individual house’s lot.

What did reports say about the neighboring home?
The descriptions of the two residences should not be conflated. Architectural Digest described Dorsey’s earlier, two-bedroom home as a flat-roofed midcentury modern residence with a retractable glass roof, extensive glass walls, Brazilian wood cabinetry and a double-height living room. Those details apply to the earlier house, not necessarily the home reportedly bought in 2018.
What renovations were reported?
In 2019, The Real Deal reported that permits listed work on interior finishes, an electrical-system upgrade and two new furnaces at the acquired home. It also reported that an ongoing remodeling project planned plumbing updates in the laundry room, kitchen and three bathrooms. Mansion Global said repairs were underway.

Those accounts document reported work and plans at the time; they do not establish which planned updates were completed or the home’s present condition.

Not from the interior images discussed in the 2019 coverage. Architectural Digest wrote on June 4, 2019: “Because the sale took place off-market, images of Dorsey’s new home aren’t quite available”. That statement described image availability then, not necessarily now. The reporting cited here does not establish the house’s current interior, present value or whether Dorsey still owns either property.
