What happened between Vanessa Bryant and Sofia Laine?

Laine alleged that she had worked for the Bryant family without pay and relied on promises of support from Kobe Bryant. Vanessa disputed those allegations, saying her mother had not been a family employee and that the family had supported her. Vanessa also described the public dispute as deeply hurtful. Did they reconcile after the lawsuit?

What can be said about their relationship today?
It remains unknown from reliable public reporting. A 2025 report about Vanessa spending time with her sister does not provide evidence about Sofia Laine or the state of the mother-daughter relationship. Without a direct recent statement or credible reporting about the two of them, claims that they are estranged, reconciled, or in contact go beyond what the public record establishes.
