The fish Lilo feeds in Disney’s 2002 Lilo & Stitch is named Pudge. She says she brings him a peanut butter sandwich every Thursday.
What is Lilo’s fish called?
His name is Pudge. In the film scene, Lilo explains, “Every Thursday I take Pudge the Fish a peanut butter sandwich.”
Why does Lilo bring Pudge a peanut butter sandwich?
Lilo arrives wet and late to hula class and explains that she went to get peanut butter for Pudge’s usual Thursday sandwich. Her sister suggests tuna, but Lilo refuses: “I can’t give Pudge tuna!” Her reason is simple: tuna is fish, and Pudge is a fish.
Does the film say what species Pudge is?
No. The scene identifies Pudge as a fish, but does not name a biological species. His confirmed name is Pudge; a more specific species identification is not established by this scene.
