For viewers who want every 2027 men’s NCAA tournament game with the fewest moving parts, choose one live-TV service that carries all four required networks: CBS, TBS, TNT, and truTV. Check the provider’s channel lineup by ZIP code before subscribing, because local CBS availability, pricing, plans, and device support vary.
If you prefer a streaming-only setup without a traditional live-TV bundle, use Paramount+ Premium for CBS games plus Max Standard or Premium for games on TBS, TNT, and truTV. Neither service alone carries the entire men’s tournament.

Do not choose based only on a provider’s national channel list. Enter your ZIP code and verify that the service includes:
- CBS, including your local CBS station where applicable
- TBS
- TNT
- truTV
For the 2027 tournament, a provider with that complete lineup remains the best recommendation for viewers who value convenience over minimizing the number of paid services. YouTube TV’s official channel information, for example, identifies CBS, TBS, TNT, and truTV as relevant March Madness channels, while noting that availability and plan details can vary. Treat any provider as a candidate rather than a universal recommendation until its current ZIP-code lineup is confirmed.
Why this is usually better than assembling individual apps
A single live-TV service avoids several common problems:
- You do not need to remember which network owns a particular game.

The best streaming-only setup: Paramount+ Premium plus Max
For cord-cutters who do not want a live-TV bundle, the most direct complete setup is:

This two-app approach is useful if you want streaming access without a broader live-TV channel package, but it has two important drawbacks: you need two subscriptions and you must switch apps when the tournament moves between CBS and the Warner Bros. Discovery networks. Confirm current plan eligibility, regional availability, supported devices, and prices before subscribing.

How March Madness Live fits in
March Madness Live is the official NCAA tournament hub. It is often the most convenient viewing interface if you already have access through a participating TV provider, particularly on a phone, tablet, computer, or connected television.
For complete men’s tournament access, March Madness Live generally requires you to authenticate with a participating TV provider. It should not be presented as an unconditional free stream of every game. The NCAA’s ways-to-watch information identifies provider authentication for all games, Paramount+ for CBS games, and HBO Max/Max for games on TBS, TNT, and truTV.
Use March Madness Live when you already pay for access
- Install the official March Madness Live app on a supported device, or open the service through the NCAA’s March Madness Live website.
- Choose the option to sign in or authenticate with your TV provider.
- Select your provider and complete the provider login.
- Return to the game schedule and confirm that the games are unlocked before tipoff.
The exact buttons and supported devices can change, so follow the current instructions shown in the app or on the NCAA site. If authentication fails, first confirm that your provider actually includes the network carrying the game; an account with a provider does not automatically unlock every network.
If you only want CBS games: use an antenna or Paramount+
Viewers interested only in games broadcast by CBS have two practical choices.

Lowest recurring-cost option: a digital antenna
Where a reliable local CBS broadcast signal is available, a digital TV antenna can receive CBS without a monthly television subscription. Signal strength depends on your location, distance from the transmitter, building materials, antenna placement, and local terrain. Check your local broadcast coverage before buying.
Important limitation: an antenna receives local over-the-air broadcasts; it does not receive TBS, TNT, or truTV. It is therefore a CBS-only or partial-coverage solution, not a way to watch every men’s tournament game.
Streaming alternative: Paramount+ Premium
Paramount+ Premium is the more convenient option if you want to watch CBS games through an app rather than an antenna. It still does not provide the games carried by TBS, TNT, or truTV, so it is appropriate only if you accept partial men’s tournament coverage or plan to add another service.
What if your TV does not support the apps?
March Madness Live, Paramount+, Max, and live-TV services are commonly used through smart-TV apps, streaming boxes, game consoles, phones, tablets, and web browsers. Before subscribing, check whether your television model supports the specific app you intend to use.
If it does not, a compatible streaming media player can add app support through an HDMI input. Buying the device does not provide tournament access by itself: you still need the relevant subscription or participating TV-provider login, and you should verify that the device supports the apps and video quality you want.

Most streaming guides use “March Madness” to mean the men’s tournament, but the women’s Division I tournament follows a different television distribution arrangement.

The NCAA states that every women’s championship game will air on ESPN networks. If the women’s tournament is your priority, choose a live-TV or sports package that carries the relevant ESPN networks. The men’s CBS/TBS/TNT/truTV combination is not a complete women’s-tournament recommendation.
The 2027 schedules also differ. The men’s opening round is scheduled to begin on March 16, 2027, with the men’s Final Four scheduled for April 3 and April 5 at Ford Field in Detroit. The women’s Final Four is scheduled for April 2 and April 4 in Columbus, Ohio. The NCAA has announced that both the men’s and women’s fields expand from 68 to 76 teams beginning in 2027, but that expansion does not change the basic viewing rule: follow the networks carrying the games you want to watch.
Check these details before you subscribe
- Network coverage: Does the service carry CBS, TBS, TNT, and truTV for your ZIP code?
- Local CBS: Is your local CBS affiliate included, rather than only a national channel listing?
- Plan eligibility: Does the selected Paramount+ or Max plan include the live sports or CBS access required?
- Current price: What is the regular price after any introductory promotion ends?
- Device support: Will the service work on your television, streaming player, phone, tablet, or browser?
- Authentication: If using March Madness Live, does your TV provider participate and does your account unlock the required networks?
- Internet reliability: Can your connection handle live video during busy game windows?
- Recording and replay: If you cannot watch live, does the selected service provide the replay or DVR function you need?
