What is Siza’s Tribulations about?
Visionary Writings’ synopsis says Siza is disowned by her father after becoming pregnant at 16. She raises her daughter alone while the child’s father lives with another woman in the city. After Siza loses her daughter, she moves to the city, where an unexpected romance begins. The platform pitches the story as one that aims to evoke tears, anger and laughter; that is promotional language, not an independent review.

The premise combines family estrangement and single motherhood with loss and a later romantic turn. The synopsis establishes those broad story points, but does not provide enough detail to explain the circumstances of the loss or the subsequent relationship without risking spoilers.
What do the sample chapters reveal?
Chapter 2: Siza and Phephe in the village
The Chapter 2 sample places Siza and her daughter Phephe in a village. Phephe asks, “why does he hate us so much, why does everyone hate us Siza”. Siza reassures her, while the way other family members treat Siza underscores the rejection described in the synopsis. The chapter also includes a church visit and an outing to a food truck.
