Saweetie and P-Lo’s San Francisco 49ers anthem is called “Do It For The Bay.” The team announced the collaboration on January 19, 2024, ahead of its playoff run. “Bay-triotic” is wordplay in Saweetie’s quote about the song—not its official title.
What is the song called?
The official title is “Do It For The Bay.” The San Francisco 49ers announced the release as a collaboration with Bay Area artists Saweetie and P-Lo, presenting it as a celebration of the team and a game-day soundtrack for fans.
Saweetie described the collaboration this way in the team’s announcement: “I love that we were able to collaborate and make something that’s so Bay-triotic, as P-Lo would say.” That phrase is the source of the headline’s pun; it is not the track title.
What did the 49ers say about the release?
In its January 19, 2024 announcement, the team said the track was available on streaming platforms including Spotify and that fans could watch its music video. Those were release-time details, not confirmation of what is currently listed on any service.

Allie Dicken, then Senior Director of Brand Marketing for the 49ers, said the artists had created “a song that celebrates our team and gives The Faithful a new song for their gameday soundtracks.” P-Lo described the project as a chance for two die-hard 49ers fans to work together and show pride in the Bay Area.
How does the video connect the song to the Bay Area?
KQED’s January 22, 2024 coverage discussed Bay Area musical references in the video, including a reference to E-40’s “Niner Gang.” That is KQED’s cultural interpretation, not a formal songwriting or sample credit established by the 49ers announcement.
