Last Flag is a 5v5 capture-the-flag shooter from Night Street Games, the studio co-founded by Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds and his brother Mac Reynolds. It launched on PC on April 14, 2026, with a game-show premise that makes hiding and finding flags as important as firefights. The studio announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions for summer 2026, but the official material cited here does not confirm that those releases took place.
What kind of game is Last Flag?
Last Flag is a team-based shooter built around capture the flag. Each five-player team conceals its own flag, searches for the other team’s, and tries to carry it back while defending the return. That makes scouting and choosing where to hide the flag part of the objective, not just a prelude to combat.
The setting is a fictional televised competition with a 1970s-inspired aesthetic. Night Street Games describes the format as a game show, giving the matches a deliberately theatrical frame rather than a military one. The studio’s official FAQ describes contestants entering a downed state when their health runs out. A teammate can revive a downed player; otherwise, that player returns to the “Green Room” and waits through a respawn timer of up to 15 seconds. These are the mechanics as described by the studio, not an independent test.
Who made Last Flag?
Night Street Games developed and published Last Flag. Its co-founders are brothers Mac Reynolds, who manages Imagine Dragons, and Dan Reynolds, the band’s lead singer. The connection is through the brothers’ work and music careers; the game is a Night Street Games project, not a game credited to Imagine Dragons as a band.

When and where did it launch?
The PC release date was April 14, 2026, on Steam and the Epic Games Store, according to Night Street Games’ launch announcement. The prices and discount mentioned in that launch post were time-limited offers, so they should not be treated as current pricing.
Night Street announced PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions for summer 2026 in a March 3 announcement. Its May 1 post-launch statement discussed development priorities without confirming that the console versions had shipped. The official material cited here therefore establishes a console plan, not current console availability.

How long are matches, and what was included at launch?
Night Street’s official FAQ says matches typically last 10–15 minutes and do not exceed 20 minutes. The same launch-era FAQ listed nine contestants and two large playable maps at the time. Those are launch figures, not confirmed current totals.
The FAQ also describes the game as a one-time purchase with base and Supporter editions. At the time, the studio said first-year content updates, including maps and contestants, were intended to be included in the base game. The Supporter Edition announcement listed exclusive cosmetics and the original soundtrack; it does not establish that a physical soundtrack or physical game edition exists.

Is there controller support?
The support FAQ says a gamepad can be used, but that full controller support was still being implemented and recommends mouse and keyboard for the best experience. Because that page may not reflect later patches, check the current store listing or in-game settings for the latest control options.

The Help Center FAQ says an internet connection is required and lists in-game text and voice communication. It also lists subtitles, 17 interface and subtitle languages, and several accessibility settings. These are studio FAQ specifications; the page does not establish whether later updates have changed them.

Are there microtransactions?
The studio FAQ describes Last Flag as a one-time purchase and says planned first-year content updates were included in the base game. That description does not establish whether the game’s current editions or monetization have changed since the FAQ was published. The launch announcement’s Supporter Edition included cosmetics and the original soundtrack, but the official material cited here does not describe an ongoing microtransaction system.
What did Night Street say about development after launch?
In its May 1 post-launch statement, Night Street said the game’s player count was not then sufficient to support additional development beyond planned patches. It said the studio’s focus would shift toward replayability and community support, including persistent lobbies and player-created rules. That is a dated statement about the studio’s position in May; it does not establish the game’s support status in October 2026.
