The public record shows an affectionate start, a breakup announcement, a later statement about trying to reconcile, and a reported annulment in 2025. It does not establish what Jenna Jameson and Jessi Lawless’s marriage was like in private. The clearest account is a timeline that separates each person’s public remarks from allegations and reported court events.
How Jameson and Lawless met and married
Jameson and Lawless met in 2022 and married in May 2023 at the Little Church of the West near Las Vegas, according to Entertainment Tonight. The outlet reported that Jameson’s representative confirmed the marriage the following month.
In coverage around the wedding, both spoke publicly about their affection and described their personalities as complementary. Jameson said she felt happier and, more importantly, loved in a lesbian relationship. Those remarks convey how they presented the relationship at that time; they cannot establish the marriage’s private dynamics across its duration.
Why Lawless said the relationship was ending
In April 2024, Lawless announced publicly that she was ending the relationship. She said she had set a boundary about drinking because of problems she associated with Jameson’s past, and alleged that Jameson drank at an event. These are Lawless’s claims as reported by Just Jared and Entertainment Tonight; the reports do not independently establish the alleged event.

Lawless told Just Jared, “There are a lot of rumors going around that Jenna and I are getting a divorce. And I’m making this video to confirm that.” In the Entertainment Tonight report, she characterized her boundary this way: “I told her in the beginning of our relationship that I was drawing a hard line, and that drinking had led to so many problems in her life that I would not tolerate it at all under any circumstances.” Those remarks describe Lawless’s account, not a verified diagnosis or independently confirmed explanation of the breakup.
What Jameson said about trying to work things out
In June 2024, Jameson publicly said she and Lawless were trying to work through things. She also said Lawless was not abusive and that she adored her. Us Weekly quoted Jameson: “Jessi and I are trying to work through things and I wanted to be very clear about something. She was never abusive, she wasn’t everything that’s being portrayed right now so we’re trying to work through things and I adore her.” Us Weekly reported the statement.

This establishes that Jameson described a possible reconciliation in public after Lawless’s breakup announcement. It does not show whether they resumed a stable marriage or how their relationship unfolded privately afterward.
What happened legally
TMZ reported that Jameson filed for divorce in February 2025. In a later report published August 13, 2026, TMZ said Lawless petitioned for an annulment in 2025, Jameson did not respond, and a judge entered a decree on April 14, 2025 restoring both to unmarried status. TMZ also reported that Lawless’s initial annulment case from 2024 was dismissed and that Jameson’s later divorce filing went nowhere. TMZ’s account cites court documents; the decree and docket were not independently reviewed here.

What the public record can—and cannot—say
The available public statements show that the couple described their relationship affectionately in 2023, that Lawless attributed the 2024 breakup to an alleged breach of a boundary concerning alcohol, and that Jameson later said they were trying to work things out. The reported legal outcome is an annulment decree in April 2025, as described by TMZ. None of this provides a complete account of their private marriage, either person’s motives, or the truth of the allegation. A fair answer to what it was “really like” has to stop where their public remarks and reported legal history stop.
