But the listing does not verify that it is “number one”: it names no chart, territory, or date.
What is Eddie Murphy’s new movie on Amazon?
It is most likely The Pickup, which appears on a regional Prime Video page under the Spanish title El Último Encargo. The listing dates the film to 2025, gives it a runtime of 1 hour 36 minutes, and categorizes it as action and comedy. Prime Video’s title page lists Eddie Murphy, Pete Davidson, and Keke Palmer in the cast, Tim Story as director, and Amazon MGM Studios as the studio.

What is it about?
Murphy plays Russell, an armored-truck driver working with Travis, played by Davidson. During a cash pickup, criminals led by Zoe, played by Palmer, ambush them, turning an ordinary workday into a chaotic situation that escalates beyond the money.
Is The Pickup really number one on Amazon?
That claim is not established by the official Prime Video listing reviewed. The page gives film details but does not state a ranking or identify a chart, territory, or date. The MGM movie catalog also does not substantiate the number-one claim. A dated chart source specifying where and what was ranked would be needed to verify it.

- When two bagmen are robbed of $1 million in Las Vegas mob money by a seductive pair of con artists, it triggers a frenzy of violence and vengeance.
So, treat “already in no. 1 position” as an unverified claim in the headline, not as a confirmed Prime Video ranking. A title page showing that a film is listed on Prime Video is not proof that it leads a chart.
