How Clay’s story connects to “Détente” and “Riptide”
The episode guide places Clay in at least two Season 7 stories. In “Détente,” Episode 3, which aired October 29, 2024, a tip from OA’s old Army buddy Clay leads the team toward an unexpected and powerful foe in a case involving targeted bombings in Queens. CBS’s Season 7 episode guide
In “Riptide,” Episode 8, which aired December 17, 2024, three customs officers are shot during a cargo heist. The team turns to Clay to help determine whether the crime was an inside job. The shooting-range scene in the preview places OA and Clay together in that later episode, but the official synopsis and preview do not spell out all the intervening developments between them.
