The finale, “A Lie in the Sand,” does not establish what happens to Cabe after the mission or give him a separate personal or career resolution.
Why is Cabe arrested in season 4?
Cabe Gallo, played by Robert Patrick, is a Department of Homeland Security special agent who leads Team Scorpion. Paramount describes him as a federal agent with a troubled history shared with Walter O’Brien; CBS characterizes him as the agent in charge of the team. Paramount Global Content’s series description and Patrick’s CBS Local interview provide that background.

In season 4’s opening storyline, Cabe helps Mark Collins escape and is arrested. Patrick explained that Cabe regarded freeing Collins as a humanitarian choice because he opposed torture. In a separate interview, Patrick said Cabe had to defend that position and described the fallout: the team gets him out, but must work without his federal protection while he is “gunless and badge-less.” Those are Patrick’s descriptions of Cabe’s motivation and the story’s consequences, rather than a claim that the choice carries no cost. Read Patrick’s CBS Local interview about Cabe’s humanitarian stance.
What does Cabe do in the finale?
Scorpion’s final listed episode is season 4, episode 22, “A Lie in the Sand,” dated April 16, 2018. Its official synopsis sends Team Scorpion to Northeast Africa to cross a minefield and save local villagers. The listing describes the team mission but does not give Cabe an individual ending or explain his fate afterward. See Paramount+’s episode listing or Apple TV’s season and episode listing.

Does the show reveal what happens to Cabe afterward?
No confirmed post-finale fate is stated in the cited official episode descriptions. Paramount’s catalog lists four seasons, and the finale is the last listed episode; the available synopsis does not say whether Cabe resumes his federal role, leaves the team, or what happens to him later. A fifth-season storyline or any more specific claim about his future would be speculation, not an established on-screen resolution. Paramount Global Content lists the series’ four seasons.

Patrick described Cabe’s defining quality as his moral integrity: “He has a lot of virtue and a clear understanding of what’s right and what’s wrong. He has moral integrity. He’s willing to stand up for what he believes in.” That perspective helps explain why Patrick framed the Collins decision as a humanitarian act, even as the story leaves Cabe facing arrest and the loss of his badge and gun.
