Was Rhea Ripley’s shoulder really dislocated?
The official sources available for the incident do not confirm a real-world dislocation, medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. WWE published an official video of the moment, but the clip and event recap do not resolve whether the shoulder injury was real or part of the performance. It is therefore accurate to say her shoulder appeared to pop out in the match, not that a confirmed dislocation was treated.

WWE’s profile says Ripley vacated the Women’s World Championship on April 15, 2024, because of injuries sustained at the hands of Morgan, and returned before SummerSlam. That earlier injury is separate context: WWE’s profile does not establish that the August shoulder moment was a continuation or recurrence of it. See Ripley’s official WWE profile.
