ReThink’s Shark Tank deal reportedly never advanced beyond the on-air handshake, so it should not be described as a completed investment. The app aimed to flag potentially hurtful language as someone typed and give them a moment to reconsider. Later accounts describe youth-focused deployments and advocacy, but ReThink’s current operations and the apps’ present functionality are unverified.
What was ReThink, and what deal did it make on Shark Tank?
Trisha Prabhu pitched ReThink on Season 8 of Shark Tank. The app was designed to detect potentially harmful wording while a person composed a message and prompt them to pause before sending it. Its approach was to encourage reconsideration rather than simply punish the sender. Shark Tank Blog’s 2026 retrospective reports that Prabhu asked for $100,000 for 20% equity and that Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner agreed to back the startup on air.
That reported agreement did not proceed beyond the handshake stage. An on-air deal is not the same as a closed investment, and the account does not establish that Cuban or Greiner ultimately invested.
How ReThink planned to make money
The pitch-era plan was to keep the consumer app free and seek revenue through partnerships with schools, school districts, or larger organizations such as mobile carriers. The Sharks reportedly questioned whether the idea could scale into a sustainable business. Those were proposed customers and a historical business model, not confirmation of partnerships or services available today. Shark Tank Blog

What happened to ReThink after the show?
Later coverage describes ReThink growing beyond a basic consumer app into patented technology used in youth-focused settings. Shark Tank Blog’s 2026 retrospective reports that by 2021 the technology had reached more than 70 Rotary Clubs across 18 countries in the Caribbean. That figure is secondary reporting; it is not independently verified here. Read the retrospective
Another development was ReThink the Internet, Prabhu’s 2022 book published by Penguin Random House. The book considers how the internet could work better for younger users; it is separate from the ReThink app. Further information on the book

Current status is unclear. The article characterizes the listings as showing limited activity.
