Rebecca was alive when death rumors circulated in late 2025. TMZ reported that she was arrested for battery, released on December 3, 2025, and entered treatment that day. In January 2026, friends told TMZ she had left a treatment facility after 37 days, including time in jail, and was back on the streets. The reports do not establish her whereabouts or condition after that update, or why she was absent from Instagram.
Rebecca was not dead when the rumors spread
On December 4, 2025, TMZ reported that online rumors of Rebecca’s death were false. The outlet said she had been arrested for battery the prior week, released from custody on December 3, and entered treatment that same day. TMZ attributed the arrest information to law-enforcement sources and said the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed details to the outlet. An arrest is not a conviction.
What friends said happened after treatment began
In a report published January 4, 2026, TMZ said Rebecca’s friends Cosmo Lombino and Ansley Morgan told the outlet she had left a treatment facility after 37 days, counting time spent in jail, and returned to the streets. That timeline is the friends’ account as reported by TMZ, not a clinical assessment or independent confirmation of her condition.
TMZ also reported that the friends asked fans not to give Rebecca money and that Rebecca had expressed interest in the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. That does not establish that she entered a program there.

What is known about her Instagram status and where she is now
The available reports do not explain why Rebecca was absent from Instagram, confirm that she stopped posting, or establish her status after the January 4, 2026 account. Her current location, wellbeing, and treatment status are not confirmed by these sources, so claims about them would be speculation.

Soft White Underbelly’s Rebecca archive describes her as a transgender woman on Skid Row and lists a video titled “5 Years of Rock Bottom-Rebecca (January 2026 update).” The archive also lists “For Rebecca Fans Only” and “The Spectre of Death.” Because the reviewed listing does not provide clear dates for every entry, titles and their order do not verify a later status update.
Rank #2
The archive also includes “Two Extremes of Rebecca,” described as an update interview and portrait, and “Rebecca and Olivia (Mark’s Daughter),” described as an interview and portrait with Mark Laita’s youngest daughter. Those listings confirm that the videos exist; they do not independently establish Rebecca’s present circumstances.
