James and Oliver Phelps continued working in entertainment after playing Fred and George Weasley in all eight Harry Potter films. Their post-Potter work has included acting and production credits, travel shows, podcasts, fan events and television presenting. One of their most visible recent projects is co-hosting Food Network’s Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking.
They kept acting and working behind the camera
James played Fred Weasley and Oliver played George in all eight films, as the official Wizarding World interview confirms. Their careers afterward did not consist solely of returning to the franchise. A selected credit list from Baltimore Comic-Con notes their appearance together in season three of Kingdom, the film A Mind’s Eye, and their direction of Journey along the Thames for the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony. That is a sampling of their work, not a complete filmography.
They branched into travel and podcasts
The twins also worked together in formats beyond scripted acting. Baltimore Comic-Con’s biography identifies their travel series Fantastic Friends and their podcasts Normal Not Normal and Double Trouble. In a Food Network feature about the second season of Wizards of Baking, the brothers said they planned to keep recording their podcast. The feature also mentions another travel show, or a return to Fantastic Friends, as an ambition—not a confirmed production.
They returned to the film sets as presenters
In Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking, James and Oliver host a competition that brings bakers to the Leavesden sets associated with the films. The series lets them take on a presenting role connected to the franchise while engaging with its world in a different way. Food Network’s season-two feature and Wizarding World’s coverage document their hosting roles; the official franchise outlet reports that they returned for season two.

Oliver described the show’s appeal in the Food Network feature: “It inspires people to want to get in the kitchen and bake, even if you’re not particularly amazing at it, like myself.” James said recording their memories of the sets gave him a document to look back on: “I want to [have] a document for myself and whoever wants to listen in 20 years’ time. I’ll be that old man in the corner of the pub.”
They remain visible at fan events and in other public pursuits
Their work also includes appearances for fans. Baltimore Comic-Con listed the twins for a 2025 event, a dated example of their convention presence. Their public activities have extended beyond entertainment: Food Network reported that James ran the 2025 Abbot Dash to the Finish Line 5K, while Oliver completed his first New York City Marathon. The same feature noted James had taken part in the 2023 London Marathon; these reports describe specific events, not an ongoing training schedule.

What their post-Potter careers show
The twins have kept working across acting, production, travel, audio and presenting, while continuing to take part in projects tied to Harry Potter. The available accounts show neither a retirement from acting nor a clean break from the franchise. Their careers are better understood as a mix of work beyond Potter and a continuing connection to the films that made them widely known.
