Jordan and Lore’l crossed paths at an Atlanta screening red carpet for Creed III. When Lore’l brought up that they had attended the same school, Jordan asked, “Oh yeah, I was the corny kid, right?” Lore’l laughed and said that was a misquote; Jordan answered, “No, I heard it.” She explained that she had talked about classmates making fun of his name, then steered the interview toward his success. Did Lore’l call Michael B. Jordan “corny”?
The wording was widely blurred in coverage, but the “nice, corny guy” description came from Lore’l’s former co-host Dominique Da Diva, not Lore’l. Da Diva said it during a 2021 discussion on The Undressing Room about Jordan’s relationship with Lori Harvey. Lore’l separately said that students teased Jordan because his name matched basketball star Michael Jordan’s and because he brought acting headshots to school.
