At the Love Island USA Season 6 reunion, Nicole Jacky said Kendall Washington had misled her about when and to whom he sent an intimate video that later surfaced online. She condemned the leak as a serious violation of privacy, while also describing hurt over Kendall’s changing account and the lack of support she felt afterward. They were still together at the reunion, but Kendall ended the relationship shortly after it aired.
What happened before the reunion?
Kendall Washington and Nicole Jacky finished fourth on Season 6 and exchanged “I love you” during the finale. After leaving the villa, they struggled with communication. Peacock’s Season 6 reunion recap says Nicole was hurt by communication missteps, while Kendall said he thought giving her space was the right thing to do.

While Kendall was filming the show, intimate video content from his past surfaced online. Us Weekly reported that Kendall described it in an Instagram Story as something he had shared with someone in confidence and trust, and said it was unfortunate that it was no longer private. The video’s circulation was a privacy violation; it is not necessary to seek out or share the material to understand the reunion discussion.
Why did Nicole confront Kendall?
Nicole said Kendall had told her the video was from years earlier and had been shared with an ex-girlfriend. At the reunion, she said JaNa Craig later told her it had been made in a hotel shortly before Kendall went on the show and sent to someone he met on a dating app. Those details are Nicole’s account of what she had been told; the reporting does not independently establish the video’s timing or recipient.

Nicole made clear she was not defending the leak. As Out reported on August 19, 2024, she said: “Obviously, the video is not OK. Nobody deserves that. Everybody in this room can agree, it’s f*ked up.” Her complaint was that she expected honesty from someone who had told her he loved her, and that she felt Kendall’s account had changed.
She also said Kendall had not checked on her or defended her publicly while people speculated about the video. Because they were still a couple, she felt left to navigate that attention without his support. Her criticism concerned his honesty and communication after the video surfaced—not the fact that he had been victimized by its spread.

What did Kendall say about the video?
Us Weekly attributed this statement to Kendall’s Instagram Story: “I just want to address the content that came out from my past. That was something I shared to someone in confidence and trust. It’s unfortunate that it’s no longer private but it is what it is.” That quotation was reported by Us Weekly on August 19, 2024; it is not an independently archived post here.
Nicole had also signaled that the couple’s difficulties continued after filming. In an August 1 statement quoted by Us Weekly, she said she was taking time to process what had happened since returning home and that her feelings and life were real. At the reunion, she described feeling hurt by the circumstances she said she learned about and by Kendall’s response to the public speculation.

Were Kendall and Nicole still together after the reunion?
They were still together when the reunion was filmed and aired, but the relationship did not last. USA Network’s recap of the reunion says Kendall decided to end things shortly afterward. The reunion therefore showed a couple attempting to address a serious breach of trust, not a reconciliation that continued.
