TV Insider connected his departure to his guilty plea that year in a case involving a 16-year-old girl. But the available reporting does not show that Discovery publicly announced it had fired him, and it does not establish where he lives or what work he does today.
When did Edgar Hansen leave Deadliest Catch?
TV Insider reported on October 10, 2025, that Hansen disappeared from the show after Season 14, which aired in 2018. Did Discovery confirm that it fired him?
The reporting does not establish a public announcement by Discovery that Hansen was fired. TV Insider said the network had not commented on his legal issues. That is different from a confirmed explanation of his employment or an official statement about why he stopped appearing on the show.
Where is Edgar Hansen now?
His current location and occupation are not verified by the available reporting. It also does not establish whether he still works aboard the F/V Northwestern. Older or fan-sourced claims about his fishing activity are not enough to confirm what he is doing now.
