Earth, Wind & Fire is still together and performing. Its official roster lists nine members, including longtime members Philip Bailey, Verdine White and Ralph Johnson. Founder Maurice White died in 2016, but his musical legacy continues to surface: an orchestral work he co-created was reconstructed from archival material and announced for a 2026 premiere.
Is Earth, Wind & Fire still together?
Yes. The band’s official member roster lists nine current members: Philip Bailey, Verdine White, Ralph Johnson, Myron McKinley, Oshun Shango Oshunde, B. David Whitworth, Morris O’Connor, Serg Dimitrijevic and John Paris. A published roster is the clearest current reference, although the musicians performing on a particular tour can vary.
Bailey, White and Johnson are the longest-standing members on the current roster. The band’s official history says Maurice White reworked the lineup in 1972 and added Bailey, Johnson and other musicians. Since then, the lineup has changed, with musicians joining and departing over the years.
What are the current members doing now?
Philip Bailey
Bailey remains with Earth, Wind & Fire and continues his solo career. His official website promotes his album Love Will Find A Way and lists three upcoming appearances at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas on October 16, 17 and 18, 2026. Those dates are future events as of October 8, 2026, and schedules can change.

In April 2026, White’s estate announced that the work had been reconstructed from archival footage and was scheduled for a world premiere at tribute performances in Long Beach on May 9 and 10, 2026. The premiere description comes from the estate’s announcement; the performances were scheduled for those dates.
