Mingus Reedus, son of The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus, pleaded not guilty after his August 2025 arrest, according to Us Weekly. That is not the latest reported development: Us Weekly later reported that Reedus accepted a Family Adjournment in Contemplation of Dismissal (ACD) and a full order of protection at a March 9, 2026, court appearance. The reported dismissal was conditional, and the case’s final status is not confirmed by the available court records or accessible reporting.
What happened in Mingus Reedus’ case?
Us Weekly reported that Reedus was arrested and taken into NYPD custody on August 23, 2025. The outlet said officers reported finding a 33-year-old woman with neck and leg injuries. Those are reported allegations and observations, not a court finding that Reedus committed an offense.
The outlet reported assault-related and harassment charges and said Reedus pleaded not guilty. His attorney, Priya Chaudhry, told Us Weekly: “I was fully prepared to dismantle the prosecution’s case and show a jury exactly what happened here.” That statement represents the defense’s position, not an independently established account of the evidence.
What was the later court development?
In a report published March 10, 2026, Us Weekly said Reedus appeared in court the previous day and accepted a Family ACD and a full order of protection. The outlet attributed the terms to a spokesperson for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office: Reedus “must remain arrest free for one year and abide by the order of protection.” The spokesperson said the case “would be dismissed and sealed after the 12-month period” if he satisfied those conditions.

An ACD is a conditional outcome, not the same thing as an immediate dismissal or a guilty plea. In this case, the March report described dismissal and sealing as dependent on compliance with the stated conditions. It did not establish that those conditions were later completed.
Was Mingus Reedus’ case dismissed?
The final disposition cannot be confirmed from the available information. An IMDb news index displayed a May 19, 2026, Hollywood Reporter headline saying the case was dismissed, but the underlying article was not accessible and no court record was available to verify what happened. That headline alone does not resolve how the reported dismissal relates to the one-year conditions described in March.

New York’s WebCrims court lookup can be searched by defendant name or docket number, but the court system says it does not display finished or sealed cases. A missing result therefore cannot, by itself, confirm whether a case was dismissed, sealed, or remains active.

New York State Unified Court System guidance explains that at arraignment a defendant is told the charges and rights and enters a plea. A not-guilty plea leads to a future hearing or trial date; it is a procedural response, not a determination of whether the allegations are true. The reported later ACD is a separate procedural development.
