Jennifer Aydin’s airport Jersey Mike’s dispute went viral after she posted videos criticizing the service, an employee offered a conflicting account, and Aydin later acknowledged she had handled the episode badly. The available reporting does not independently establish who was right about the order or the line.
What happened at Jersey Mike’s?
In early January 2025, during holiday travel, The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Jennifer Aydin posted Instagram Story videos about a disagreement at an airport Jersey Mike’s. Aydin said a customer behind her was served first and described a dispute after she tried to add another sandwich to her order. Us Weekly’s report also described an employee’s TikTok response, which gave a different version: the employee alleged Aydin changed or added orders and held up the line.
Those are competing accounts, not a verified reconstruction. The reporting does not independently establish the order of service, what was added when, or whether Aydin delayed the line.
What did Aydin say afterward?
In a January 8, 2025 interview with Us Weekly, Aydin said she had been traveling with her family, including a group of 15, and disputed that she was rude to staff. She also acknowledged that she had not handled the situation or her decision to post about it correctly. “I realize that I did not tackle this correctly,” she said. Aydin apologized for calling the worker an “80-year-old woman.”

Her apology and acknowledgment did not amount to an admission that every allegation in the employee’s account was true. Aydin maintained that she was not rude to staff while conceding that her response to the incident had gone wrong. Us Weekly’s January 8 interview reported her account.
Why did Andy Cohen call it a “self-inflicted wound”?
On January 6, 2025, Andy Cohen discussed Aydin’s video on Radio Andy and called the post “A self-inflicted wound.” Aydin later said she agreed with his characterization and recognized that posting the video had backfired. Us Weekly reported Cohen’s January 6 comments; its January 10 report covered Aydin’s response.

Did Aydin lose a cruise appearance?
Yes. On January 9, 2025, Us Weekly reported that Fans at Sea confirmed Aydin would no longer appear at its planned September 2025 Wives on the Waves cruise. The organizer’s representative, Patrick Harbison, said the event had been adjusted to keep it drama-free and welcoming, adding: “This decision was not personal nor an act of canceling anyone. At Fans at Sea, we believe in second chances and personal growth.” This was removal from a planned fan event, not a formal employment firing. Us Weekly reported the organizer’s statement.
