Contemporary reports identified the men as actor Jacob Elordi and radio producer Joshua Fox, but the police statement did not name either man and did not establish that an assault occurred.

The statement, reproduced by ELLE Australia, said: “Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.” The quoted wording describes an allegation and an investigation; it is not a finding of guilt.
What Joshua Fox alleged
Contemporary reports identified the men as Fox, 32, and Elordi, 26. According to Fox’s account as reported by ELLE Australia, he approached Elordi with an empty container and made a joke about the bathwater storyline associated with Saltburn. Fox alleged the encounter then became physical. That account is an allegation attributed to Fox, not an independently established police finding.
