What did Drew McIntyre say about Sheamus?
McIntyre contrasted their earlier “banger after banger after banger” matches with a jab at Sheamus: “now it looks like it’s been burger after burger after burger.” He framed the change as happening after Sheamus was injured. Pro Wrestling Dot Net’s review of the segment transcribed the exchange.
What was Sheamus’s comeback?
Sheamus laughed and replied, “I can lose the weight, but McIntyre can’t lose stupid.” FOX Sports’s WWE-branded video page, dated April 23, 2024, also reproduces the retort in its headline: FOX Sports video page.
Why were McIntyre and Sheamus arguing?
Before the weight-related jab, Sheamus criticized McIntyre for fixating on CM Punk and failing to take responsibility. McIntyre then said he had defended Sheamus backstage when others mocked his weight and offered to watch his back. The segment mixed insults with a claim of loyalty, all within the storyline promo.
