Dr Chris Brown praised Robert Irwin and Julia Morris for hosting I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2024, saying they were “great” and “fantastic.” He also qualified his opinion: he had watched “a little bit here and there” because he had been busy.
What did Chris Brown say about Robert Irwin’s hosting?
Asked about Irwin’s first hosting stint on the Australian series during an appearance on 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed & Erin breakfast show, Brown said: “I thought both he and Julia were great.” He added: “Honestly I thought they were fantastic.”

Brown’s praise applied to Irwin and his co-host, Julia Morris. But he did not describe watching the season in full: he said he had seen “a little bit here and there” because he had been busy. His comments were a positive impression, not a comprehensive review.
Why had Brown moved to Channel Seven?
Brown had left Network 10 for Seven and was taking on a different presenting role: hosting Dream Home, a renovation competition. Seven’s announcement said he would also host an animal-adventure series, with the programs coming to Seven and 7plus. 7NEWS reported the announcement.
#1 Best Overall
Dream Home was described as following six Australian couples as they renovated competitors’ run-down homes. Brown joked during the radio appearance that the job meant being “worked for 160 days straight”; that was a humorous remark, not a confirmed production schedule.
How does this relate to Irwin and Morris’s season?
Irwin co-hosted the Australian version of I’m a Celebrity with Morris in 2024, in his first season in the role. In a separate interview, Irwin spoke about respecting the program’s legacy and bringing his conservation mission to the hosting job. That provides context for the season, but Brown’s assessment came from his own radio comments.

When did Dream Home premiere?
At the time of PerthNow’s May 21, 2024 report, Dream Home was scheduled to premiere at 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, on Channel 7 and 7plus. That is a historical launch listing, not a statement of the show’s current broadcast schedule or streaming availability. PerthNow reported Brown’s comments and the contemporaneous schedule.
