There is no universal TNT channel number on Samsung TVs. Samsung makes the television, but your cable company, satellite provider, or live-TV streaming service assigns the channel number. Samsung TV Plus is a separate free service; the current U.S. lineup listed by Samsung does not include the TNT network.
Why Samsung TVs do not have one TNT channel number
A Samsung television can show programming from several different sources. Each source has its own guide and channel system:

TNT’s support page directs viewers to their television provider for the linear channel number because TNT does not maintain provider-specific listings: TNT’s channel-number guidance.
First identify which device controls your channels
- HDMI cable or satellite box: The provider’s remote and guide control the channel. The Samsung remote may only change volume, power, or input.
- Samsung TV Plus: You are using Samsung’s internet service and its own guide.
- Streaming app: The app controls the live channel list and search.
- Coaxial cable connected directly to the TV: You are using the television’s tuner, usually with an antenna or direct cable feed.
- External streaming device: Search on that device rather than in Samsung’s built-in menus.
How to find TNT with cable or satellite
- Turn on the cable or satellite receiver.
- Press Guide on the provider’s remote.
- Search for TNT instead of relying on a generic Samsung channel list.
- Check that your package includes TNT.
- If the channel is absent, verify the receiver is linked to the correct account and refresh or restart it if your provider recommends doing so.
- Contact the provider and request the TNT number for your ZIP code and package.
Do not use a nationwide TNT number. Assignments differ by provider and market and can change.

Does Samsung TV Plus have TNT?
Samsung TV Plus is a free, ad-supported internet service with live and on-demand programming. Samsung says its channels require internet access, vary by location, and can change. See Samsung’s TV Plus information.
To check your lineup, use Home → Samsung TV Plus → Guide or open the channel list. Samsung documents channel editing through Home → TV Plus → Channel List → Edit Channels, although labels vary by model and software version.
The current U.S. channel-list PDF available from Samsung does not list the TNT network: Samsung TV Plus U.S. channel list. A channel carrying similar genres or programs is not the same as a live TNT feed. Verify the on-screen guide because lineups are subject to change.

Watching TNT through a streaming service
TNT describes TBS, TNT, and truTV as cable networks. Most content is available to customers of participating providers whose package includes the relevant network, rather than through a universally free TNT feed. Details are in TNT’s sign-in and provider guidance.
- Install or open a participating live-TV service on the Samsung TV or an attached streaming device.
- Sign in to an account with a plan that includes TNT.
- Open Live, Guide, or Search.
- Search for TNT and select the live feed or program.
- Complete provider authentication if the app requests it.
App availability depends on the Samsung model year, software, region, and the service’s current support. A service having a Samsung app does not by itself prove that its plan carries TNT.
Why an antenna scan will not normally find TNT
An antenna scan searches for local broadcast stations. A cable-box guide lists channels delivered by the cable operator; TV Plus lists Samsung’s internet channels; and a streaming app lists channels included in its service and plan. Because TNT is a cable network, the Samsung tuner cannot add it simply by rescanning for over-the-air stations.

What to do when TNT appears but will not play
Black screen or authorization message
Your provider account may not include TNT, or the app may need you to authenticate again. Check the package and sign in again.
TNT is listed but locked or unavailable
The channel may be outside your subscription tier, restricted in your market, or affected by a temporary provider outage or dispute. Ask the provider to confirm eligibility for your account.

Use an eligible participating provider account. A Samsung account or TV Plus access is not a substitute for that authentication.

The program listing loads but playback fails
Test the internet connection, restart the app, confirm the account login, and check the provider’s service-status information. If possible, compare playback on another supported device.
TNT disappeared after a TV reset
Reopen the correct app and sign in again. Rescan channels only when you use an antenna or a tuner-based cable connection.
The Samsung remote changes the wrong channels
Use the remote supplied with the cable or satellite receiver. The box, not the Samsung television, is controlling the lineup.

Press Source or Input and select the HDMI input connected to the cable or satellite box.
Choosing the right way to get TNT
- Cable or satellite: Provides a conventional channel number, but requires a package that includes TNT.
- Live-TV streaming: Avoids a traditional box, but requires internet, a supported app, and an eligible plan.
- Samsung TV Plus: Free and convenient, but not a replacement for the TNT network when TNT is absent from its lineup.
- Antenna: Useful for local broadcast stations, not the normal way to receive TNT.
- External streaming device: May add app support to an older TV, at the cost of another device and remote.
